Welcome to East Prairie Middle School! This is a school where great things happen each day. We are so fortunate to have a dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive parents.
As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our students reach their full potential. We believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to empower students with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible. Our staff is committed to working with students and their families as a team.
You will notice a major change this year in our master schedule. We have moved to a nine period day. This transition has been instituted to maximize the instructional day and increase learning opportunities for our students. This change will position our school for even greater offerings for students in the future.
East Prairie has established an impressive academic tradition built on a rigorous curriculum aligned to the New Illinois Learning Standards and Common Core. It is our mission as educators to provide the highest level of service to our students and families in the Tuscola district.
We look forward to a great school year and your partnership in our learning community!
